Picture Books for a World Language Classrooms
For World Language Teachers and Parents
I've written and illustrated these picture books to support language acquisition in my students. For teachers, I've written these books in three versions: Spanish, English, and Wordless. I imagine that you could use the wordless version to present a version of the story to your students in a picture talk format. Tell them the story using the pages as the context for the story. Then, if you teach Spanish, you can use the Spanish version as an embedded reading. For those teachers that teach something other than Spanish, read the English version so you know the story and download an extra wordless version so that you can write the story in your target language so your students have an embedded reading too. All of these resources are free to use and modify under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License

Luzmila Tiene Muchas Metas
Luzmila Tiene Muchas Metas (Luzmila Has A Lot of Goals) is about a little girl that has big dreams. I wrote this picture book to help students dream big. I also wrote it to help students develop their use of the Future tense. It is written in a comprehensible way with lots of context from the drawings so it should be a picture book your students will understand and enjoy!

El Rey de Pan
El Rey de Pan is a fictional story about a good man who overcomes high odds to become successful. I wrote this book to teach students a lesson in perseverance. No matter how someone starts out life, it doesn't dictate who they can become. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed writing and illustrating it.
